well tell them that they can either buy the car from you, or let you do what you want with your property. the most they can do is ask that you pay for them holding it in their yard.

I sure hope that you are joking because that is most assinine idea that I have ever heard. Do you think that these people were born yesterday?

I don't think I can switch intakes. The people that have my car right now won't support anything illegal. I hope my short ram won't make a $4000 difference...
I'm currently searching for a new car. I want to get either a 1.8t B5 or a MK4 GTI if possible. If I don't get another B5, I decided the first thing I do to my next car is a euro plate that says RIP 12V B5

Update..
I still have not been able to talk with my insurance. I missed their call on Tuesday and I have been trying and trying to call them but they haven't called back. Today I called the shop that is holding my car and asked if they knew. He said he was not sure but it didn't seem very hopeful. What should I do? Is there anything I can do to argue if the adjuster decided I am not covered? I had to keep my K&N cone filter in. If he says that is the reason why they won't pay for it is there anything I can say back?
Advice is appreciated

If they deny you it is time to call a lawyer. They will tell you if you have a case or not and wont take the case unless they think they will win. Good luck.

Update? Did they deny your claim? If so post up the reason that they stated and go read over your Declaration Page that you are sent whenever you renew your insurance.

I still never got to talk to them. I call a couple times every day and still no answer or call back...
I will keep this updated when something new happens. I just want to be ready for anything.

I have been calling my insurance's adjuster... Tuesday he called me but I missed it. Heleft a message saying that we need to talk about the car and have been trying to call back since then. I called the place that has my car the other day and talked to them, they said they were not sure about the adjuster's decision but from what they heard it does not sound hopeful.
