1.8 or 2.8? How many miles on the timing belt when it broke?

Sounds suspicious... I think we've got a murder case here.

Or severe neglect and endangerment resulting in a wrongful death case...

I walk out of my house everyday hoping someone stole my car. Full coverage, too many headaches.

The timing belt had about 30,000 miles on it. Got it replaced right before the 100,000 mile mark... My B5 had a good run, but way too many headaches is an understatement

So did the belt fail or one of the other components of the timing system (water pump, tensioner, roller, etc.) causing the belt to fail?
