Ripped off front spoiler when getting unstuck from a snowy ditch
Seattle has been hit by a huge amount of snow.
Yes, quattro is awesome with all-season tires, but I still got stuck in a deep ditch while trying to turn and get up a steep enough incline - yes I know that it wasn't too intelligent. I was able to get myself out of the ditch by repeatedly going forwards and backwards, but in the process I ripped off the front spoiler (black trim) under the front bumper of our 2001 A4 2.8 QM.
I don't see any undercarriage damage - what should I be looking for?
Here is the google picasa photo album of the ripped off front spoiler:

I have the service manual.
The spoiler is just over $85 new and shouldn't be too difficult to replace.
The part I am not sure about is the bumper doesn't seem flush on the sides under the headlights and on the driver side a small piece of the bumper trim got pulled down. I'm not sure how to pull up the bumper and glue/reattach that bumper piece. As you can see on the head-on photo the bumper doesn't look like there is any body damage. Any ideas?
If anyone in the Seattle area can fix this I would like to hire you.
Thanks for any help

there are some bolts in your splash gaurds under the fender that hold the sides on and tight, 1 on each side if I remember correctly. Then there are the two big bolts toward the center of the car. Make sure all of these are tight/there.
the bumper just slipped off the guide clips. First loosen the two bolts mentioned above to realign the bumper and place the edges back on the guide clips. Follow the first few steps in this diy article. http://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng35.shtml
It takes some fiddling with but easy once you've removed and installed the bumper a few times.

All of your comments have been helpful and reassuring.
Looks like we are getting another wave of snow (too cold to be out there adjusting the bumper), so I will try your suggestions in a few days.
Thanks

I am also from the seattle area and i just had the same kind of problem except in the process of turning around in the snow i went to far forward and the spoiler got stuck on a wooden curb. My tires are like slicks so i couldn't get any traction in the foot of snow and ice we had so ss me and my friends tried to get it unstuck by rocking my car back and forth i ended up doing more damage by running into a rock that was hidden in the snow. The bumper cover is no longer flush like yours and the bottom skid plate is pulled forward away from the bumper. I also haven't had a place to look at the damage because of the snow and shitty weather.
