1999 a4 2.8 Q auto
I hit a rock on a dirt road and it broke my oil pump and chain out into a mud puddle i am a very good mechanic and have repaired my cars my whole life i however have no clue what my options are? i can easily get a new pan, pickup tubes, pump, reuse my sprocket the problem is the chain is a one piece chain. if a machinist could put a link in the new oil pump chain i could put the engine back together. ???????????? or weeks and thousands for another engine?? thank you guys for your input i appreciate it greatly
