Not a mechanic, probably won't do the work myself. Somewhat handy but would rather leave it to the professionals. Curious what the conventional wisdom is for the following conditions:

- No codes stored
- new whistling/winding noise
- very rough idle - sporadic
- rough low revs - sporadic
- no problems with med/high revs
- 01 A4 1.8T
- approx 85K

O2 sensors?
pcv valve?
