Default s4 suspension

so I found a. Rear sway bar w/brakets on ebay for 75$ or bo. It was apparently taken out of a 01 s4... Will this be a good upgrade for my 2.8Q?

don't waste your money on s4 suspension parts, the b5 s4 suspension upgrades were very minor and in most cases the close to the sport pacakge a4. if your car has the sport package they are the same sized bar. save your money and buy aftermarket

But if you don't have the sport package it'll likely be a noticeable gain, even though it won't be as much of a gain as aftermarket. But for $75, it's a fraction of the cost of aftermarket and not a wholly unworthy mod. I have OEM S4 springs on my 2.8 and it makes a nice difference over OEM A4 non-sport springs.

The sport suspension sits the car nice and low over the wheels. The standard suspension sits significantly higher. Look at the pic of my car in my sig below - that's non-sport. And yes, you do have a 30v engine. The valve covers' "5V" logos refer to 5 valves per cylinder, equaling 30 valves.

Take a look in the sticky post "The official wheel/suspension thread" up top - I'm sure you'll find pics of the sport suspension there.

you could also check your option codes in the pass. side spare tire well in your trunk-there's a post in here somewhere w/ a link to a website that deciphers those for you
