Default Sad, sad day...

Well, found out today that I'll be deployed again within a month, for the fourth damn time! With that being said, I'm thinking about selling my baby. It needs a few things, and I simply don't have the cash right now to fix them, and I don't want the car to sit for a year with these issues. So, I'm thinking about passing the problems to someone else. The problem is I know I can fix almost all the issues for under 4-500 bucks total. But, I know the value of my car is almost zilch with these problems left unfixed (rear calipers leaking, control arms squeaking, and CV boot ripped).

Oh well, I'm guessing I'll just bite the bullet on this one... Hate to see my baby go, but I gotta do what I gotta do...

That sucks man, sorry you ended up in this overall situation. As for your deployment, two things - first off, thank you. My brother is a USMC captain preparing for his fourth middle east tour (Bahrain, two in Iraq, and pending Afghanistan), so I am familiar with the sacrifice you're making. Second, stay safe bro and we look forward to seeing you pop up on AF occasionally while there (if you're able), and when you get back.

Sorry to hear about your deployment, My sister did 4 tours in Iraq before she left this year. I know you might not get the appreciation you so deserve. I will join everyone else and thank you as well. Be safe.

Sucks about the car too. Do what you need to do and who knows when you get back, you can buy a branused one and deal with its problems.

Hey guys, thanks for all the encouragement... I plan on buying another A4 when I get back, assuming the wife doesn't blow the whole savings on the vacation she's planning for when I get back!

I've learned so much between owning the one I have now, and all the info I've received from this site, I know exactly what to look for the next time I buy one...
