I've got a '89 A4 Avant Quattro wagon, 2.8 liter, Auto trans.

It's in pretty clean shape.... except for the blown engine

Could anyone offer advice on:

A) Finding the salvage value for the car as is??

B) Cost/source for a salvaged/rebuilt engine to replace the blown one?

The estimate to rebuild the engine I've got is in the $5,000 range.
