Sorry to bring back an old thread but did the seat get replaced out of warranty? My passenger seat lower back just burnt through the leather in one spot. Now I won't let anyone use it because I don't want a fire. Its no good with temps at -10*f for the passengers bum haha I have an 2002 Allroad which is out of warranty is why I ask.

Adam, I wouldn't worry about a warranty here. Its not like your turbos went or you need some routine maintenance, your friggin seat caught fire

I would call your local Audi dealer and make a stink, I'm sure there was a TSB regarding this.

Mine was replaced even though I was wayyyy out of warranty. I called Audi of America. They helped me through every step of the process. Covered everything completely. Most importantly they were very concerned to make sure no one was injured from the burn.

Call AoA do not call your dealer. My buddy just went through this in his B6 A4 and it was a hassle and the dealer would not help at all until AoA got involved.

Oh yeah!

My friends butt was burnt from my passenger seat, now I have a hole the size of a half dollar on the seat.

I think I might just call AoA :]

Keep us updated. I'm curious to see how AoA handles it.
