Default i have had the same problem: Audi 2001 A4

I have been using a back support pillow in my Audi A4 2001...and noticed that it started to leak all over the car...as it had been punctured/burned by my heated seats. After getting out of my car, I now have a large burned area on the seat. (Luckily the pillow saved me from getting a burn.)

There is a little heat sensor in the seat that sends a signal back to the switch. That much have cratered.

Don't know about that. I pretty much leave mine on from late Nov till late Feb. I turn it up and down, but never off.

I think what's really hard on the seat heaters is when you put your knee on the seat and all your weight goes right on those delicate little wires.
