Default seat swap in a 99 a4

Hey guys, had a quick question about swapping seats in a 99 a4 1.8T. As you all know the pleather seats go at about 100K, what are the options for replacement? Im guessing its mostly limited to the leather non-sport seats from a 2.8. Future plans are for a turbo out of a 2001 1.8T and possibly S4 suspension if I can get my hands on them. Would like a little advice if anybody has gone this route or has the parts I need!

Thanks,

Lee

OEM RS4 Seats! That's what I'd like to do anyway...

do you know if you have to do a lot of work to get S4 seats into a 99 1.8t?

If it's power seat to power seat, it's a direct bolt-in. Power to manual or manual to power will require grinding/cutting/welding to have the proper mount points.

I currently have the manual seats, do they even make manual leather seats?

Yes - my passenger seat is leather and manual. I'm not sure about the driver's seat but you could get a power one, pull the leather, and reskin your existing cloth seat, and then just swap in the leather passenger seat and rear seats.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I've owned about every other car except and Audi, this is my first go around. I imagine you have some spare parts hanging around, anything you want to sell?

Thanks,

Lee

Heh, if this had come up about 5 weeks ago, I had a full black leather interior (minus driver seat) in my garage. I used some of them as test dummies for my leather dyeing project detailed in the B5 forum in a post I put up today. I've got some of the seat parts though if you need/want them (one side bolster in the rear, both rear backrest cushions, lower rear cushion).

Sounds like I just need to keep my eye out for a set up black leathers. I assume its pretty simple to re-skin a seat?

There is more than one way to skin a cat, not sure about reskinning a seat though!
