So I keep pulling codes relating to the secondary Air injection pump flow being low for both banks 1 and 2. Do you guys think this is just the pump needing replaced or a line or something else?

Also forgot to mention I checked the pump and it does turn on.

 

I suggest changing all the vacuum lines and checking the hoses going directly to the pump. Hearing the pump come on at least is a good sign. Clear the code and see what happens. If it still comes on then you might need a new egr valve.

 

i just had my SAP replaced last week, because it would run on off whenthe car was off and killed my battery. now with the new one i found after 25 miles or so and then the car is off for a while it turns on at startup but dont shut off. i end up pulling the plug on it, drive home 25 miles plug it back in and its fine. any idea???

 

forgot to mention i drive 98 a4 A4 2.8 front wheel drive

 

It sounds like the problem is not the SAP then. It might be the relay or something electrical that's sending the signal to it that makes it turn on and off.
