Default semi-big problems guys

well to start off, after drivign for about 10 mins, and the motor is warmed up, when i come to a stop, i hear a very loud ticking noise coming from under the hood, but when i start to drive, it goes away. i have read that this could be a bad oil pump / screen... but how valid is that?

Also, i have no boost what so ever... i have a VDO boost gauge and the APR tune, i used to get 17psi... now im lucky if i get 3psi... any ideas guys?

also i need to do the timing belt. so if indeed my oil pump/screen need to be replaced im gonna do that at the same time

No boost means that your engine is in safe mode, most likely due to a previous overboost condition. Have the codes pulled and clear them. That should at least get your boost back.

The alternative is a massive boost leak, so check the hoses.

Also check your fuses. That happened to me and it turned out to be the ecu fuse.

If your car is sounding like a diesel engine i would have a shop check the oil pressure for you. If its low, then yes its probably your oil pick up tube thats clogged.

I had a retard clatter-clatter-click-click noise at lower RPMs a couple weeks ago

turned out that Audi of Santa Monica didn't tighten the bolts down after the timming belt job

out of the 6 that were supposed to be on there, 3 had fallen out and were missing, and the other three were loose as fu<k....luckily I caught it before my motor was taken to the dome...lol

sounds like your car is in safe mode...get the codes cleared and you should be good, boost wise
