Default She died finally

So i have been hunting an issue for a long time that my dad and the mechanics was just a ghost and there was nothing wrong. Well yesterday while in 5th gear at around 100 and WOT it started missing horribly and suddenly and lost all power.

i pulled over and she wouldnt start. Codes P0300 P0302 and P0304 showed (random missfire and missfire in cyl. 2 and 4 i think). Pulled plug one and one of the prongs was half eaten and it had metal transfer all ofer it and it was gummed up.

Got a tow home and all the sparks were the same cept sparkplug 4 was completely annhilated (i will take some pics soon)

So I dont know, i got new plugs and they spark but not great. Tried a new battery and nothin still. Cranks fine, can smell gas in the exhause so the injectors are flowing. I could see the build up in cyl. 4 through the hole so it doesnt look too hot....

try a compression check. i would guess that you dont have any with the looks of that #4 spark plug. i would pull the turbo off for inspection as all those pieces of metal had to go out somewhere.

Yeah, ive got a feeling that the piston or exhaust valves are shot. but if it is isnt horrible because when it cranks i would be able to tell. I ust broke my right hand to im really having a hard time digging around tho...

So I just got word from the shop and they say there is a hole in one of the pistons and low compression all over.

It either needs a new motor or a rebuild... what reallly are my options and what kinda prices am I looking at?

I've got a short block for you that should have good internals but could use refreshing. Was pulled because the dealer said it was bad but we drove it in no knocking or anything but customer asked us to put a new engine in so we did. I would replace the rings in it and have the head gone through but then it should be as good as new. PM me if your interested. 300 for the short block.

well let's keep it at a budget so either get a new motor or rip the old one apart and see what needs to be replaced. personally i'd get a new motor, fix the old one and sell it. it would give you a small turn around time so you can have your car back on the road quick

all depends on how much money you have. im sure your turbo is toast now from sucking all that ceramic thru it so you are going to need a new one anyway....

it looks like you were running super lean or something, the #1 and 4 plugs are melted.

yeah. i have been chasing a problem since i got the car but i could never fid anything. there were random stutters when hitting or leaaving full boost. every shop said it was fine though...

Anyone have kinda a number range for an internals build? I am sure even if i kept the stock displacement i yould need to put new sleeves in...
