okay, so I'm pretty new. Just wondering what WOT stands for.

This sounds pretty nasty though, I'm sorry to hear about it.

awesome, thanks for the help. I really wanna do something fun with this but i dont know what. at the least rebuild the internals for at least the potential of BT someday safley

if you are going to rebuild it you should look into whether you have some kind of lean condition or poor cooling issue, so that you dont toast the rebuilt engine... something that could have lead up to make that #4 hole get hot enough to burn up...

oh of course, but there isnt too much i can do first. Right now i am looking at getting the 2.0FSI crank with the proper pistons that will allow me to keep the stock rods if they are fine. I wont bore it out unlss i have to which im aure there is wall damage so we will see. I am looking at low to mid 1.9L displacement

So i started the teardown today. Got the bumper off and the hood off and depressurized the fuel lines, ill be poasting pictures as it gets going more. Having a broken right hand really makes this a b!tch.

Right now I am trying to find someone with the bits to drain the AC. Is there an easy way to do this or get whatever i need?

I have the entire front end off now, just need to disconnect the rest of the wires and hoses.

On my turbo, how much play should there be in the shaft?
