Hey,
So the hits just keep coming. I have now replaced inner tie rods, O2 sensors, Rotors, Brakes, and Brake lines. Money is getting low. My right front shock is now drying out and sounds terrible. I would like to lower the car but at this time not so sure about the money. Anyway do you know of any quick fix or should I just go ahead and replace it? If I replace one should I replace both or all 4? What would you suggest as the best bang for the buck?

i picked up some tien springs from a junkyard car for $70 and some billstein sport shocks for $480 off ebay. lowers 1-1.5 inches. the car handles like a dream now. you could spend the $1300 + instalation for some coilovers for a somewhat better ride, but if money is a concern, that is the way to go.

you can get away with doing only the front or only the rear, but you cannot do only one unless your just replacing the stock one with a stock one.

 

ehh, I guess as a temporary solution it would be okay, but you shouldn't consider replacing 1 shock a permenate fix. Espically with used shocks, it will create uneven balance and cause pre-mature tire wear. Do shocks in pairs at the minimum, and idealy all 4 at the same time. Because, even when you do them in pairs, it's going to cause front or rear bias slightly on the worn pair of shocks.
