Default Short shifter?

Weres a good place to pick up a short shifter for 98 1.8. I heard ebay but for 20 bucks that seems too cheap. Looking to spend max 120 unless ebay ones are good then I will go with that use the rest of the money towards something else.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-97...Q5fAccessories I've used these ebay ones on both my b5's. it's a replica of more expensive b&m shifters and you can use the b&m instructions

Any downsides to it Alex? (It is Alex right?)

I was going to hold off on getting a short shifter until I could go for broke and get the JHM one, isn't the ebay one made of plastic?

No downsides really.. I had to use a dremel and expend the slit that is used for push down reverse (or you can use non push down). The bushings that it comes with are pretty hard to install so I just didn't. After I got it installed I haven't had any problems. It was good enough for me to buy it again

I've used them on both my B5's as well. No problems. LM, the eBay shifter is all metal, my OEM shifter was actually plastic though. This is one of those things that isn't too good to be true lol

The more I look at the jhm solid short shifter the more I wanna go and drop 280 for it. Those videos draw you in. lol. Im guessing thats the best of the best right.

Yes the JHM is the best shifter because it uses a sealed bearing. Might also want to do the 2 JHM shifter linkage upgrades. Makes the shifts even more crisp.

eBay short shifter ordered...I'm hoping for the best; but I'll have my critical glasses on.
