Short shifter?

I think I found it but it says audi a3 and the rest are volkswagens and the instructions are saying raise the car remove the exhaust to get to the heat shields, I thought this was all done from in the car.

honestly i did it with no directions pretty easily but i had to peice it together like a puzzle

I have the B&M instructions in a box in my closet. I could scan them or mail them to ya if you'd like?

Yea that would be great, If you could scan it then email it to me.

Sure thing man. I don't haz teh scannerz so i'll have to run over to my office and snake theirs lol. When were you looking to install it?

Got the shifter installed finally easyer than i thought. I do have a couple of questions, I have the push down reverse in my 98 so when i installed the short shifter i left the oem pivot ball and the push down pin. Do i really need to keep the stock pivot ball and springs. The shifter gets stuck a little when i put into reverse i think the pushdown pin is a little off gotta check.

Yeah as Alex mentioned (and I had the same experience) the slot in the shifter rod for the push down reverse pin is a bit narrow. Alex used a dremel to make his a bit wider, I just used a file. It also helps if you use a lot of white lithium grease.

The spring you use is up to you. The one in the kit is a bit stiffer than OEM.
