Default Should I take the plunge?

I just bought some coilovers off this guy that is selling all of his mods due to being laid off. When I met with him to buy them, he wanted to know if I wanted any of his other mods. He said he was an eager seller and would give me a sweet deal.

He said he would sell me his:
Used APR Stage 3 turbo kit for 1.8T-includes turbo, exhaust manifold, injectors, coolant and oil lines
New LLTek RSR front bumper (silver) with front mount intercooler
New custom 3" exhaust system with bungs for EGT and wideband O2 sensor

All for $2000. Should I go for it? I'm hesitant to take the plunge.

2000 for all that is a pretty good deal IF the turbo was taken care of properly. i would prolly inspect that hard core before the purchase but it all does sound like a pretty good deal. i vote yes!

Yeah that's definitely a deal. Is he gonna include the ECU (if it's compatible) to control everything? Maybe on a trade for yours?

Yeah, I can check it all out before buying anything. I'm not sure what the type or the dimensions of the FMIC are. I hadn't thought about trading the ECU either, that's a good idea! If I do it, my original plan was to have Achtuning flash my ECU with Stage 3 software. I'm just having a hard time bringing myself to part with $2000.

Tell him you want to drive his car and get the feel of it to see if you want to part with the green. If you show him the cash physically, he'll likely relent and know you're not just joyriding. Take some good acceleration pulls and that'll make your decision for you most likely.

assuming its still in the car?

if everything is in awesome condition you will probably never find a sweet deal like that again...
