I'm guessing that the OP fixed that problem almost 6 years ago. But FYI, on a V6, a failed coil leads to two dead cylinders. A marginal coil, on the way to failing completely, might misfire one of it's two spark plugs before the other due to one needing higher voltage, but single-cylinder misfires tend to be injector or compression problems.
