Default Single muffler delete? Opinions?

So I got a 98.5 a4 1.8TQ Stage 2 with a scorpion exhaust system and dual tail pipes (on the same muffler, not on either side of the car), I'm thinking about taking off one muffler (not both) to make it louder but not ricey like both would probably sound like. I have a local shop that does it, would this sound good or one muffler sound ricey? I want it to be Louder but not overpowering and not Honda sound

Yeah with no resonator you're gonna get a raspy tone and lots of highway drone and resonance.

Oh sorry I miss understood it then. But would removing the muffler make it sound bad? It's an Audi not a Honda so I want don't want it to sound ricey, I would rather keep it quiet if it won't sound good

What makes cars sound "ricey" is that irritating resonance that almost hurts your ears if that makes any sense. That's because Honduh kids just chop off their whole exhaust and slap on a knock off Apexi N1 fart cannon.

If you want a louder exhaust I would start with a shorter resonator and see how it goes from there.

I already put a really nice exhaust on it (full stainless steel scorpion twin tail pipes) made a huge difference, idk ill probably just keep it as it sits.

I have just the resonator delete on my B5 S4 and its the best 60$ I have ever spent! It sounds perfect! It sounds beefy when I punch it but when Im going normal its quiet and you would not even tell I changed anything! I dont know how it would sound with the 1.8t but with my 2.7t its great!!
