Default Sluggish performance

Hi,
I recently changed the time belt on my wifes a4 1.8t with no issues in about 4 hours. Thing is when driving it doesnt want to rev in 3rd gear (well not like it should) I checked and re-checked the timing and used vagcom. Its showing and intermitent fault on cam shaft sensor. I put boost gauge on and it wont go over 8psi I also performed a boost leak test which found a leak on the tee under the inlet manifold running from the manifold then to the block, could this be the problem? as I would think its similar to running a catch can system but could be wrong. I have been told to do a compression test which i will do but Im sure its ok as nothing moved from its marks during the tb change.

I would check the cam timing again. It is probably out causing the ecm to go into fail safe mode preventing maximum power.
You should not have any cam sensor codes after timing belt work!

Ok so i checked it all again and also compression which is 150 in each cylinder (with leaking comp tester as it didnt fit all the way down so i had to mod it) and timing marks are perfect but the cam senor code came back as intermitent fault, so would that be the issue?

Have you cleared the fault code(s) and checked to see if it (they) come(s) back?

dude 8psi is spot on from factory. 150 all the way across is good. If your cam is off to the point its not running right wouldnt that destroy your compression test??

im really confused by this, I have read in places that many people that change the sensor (camshaft) usually have the same problem re-appear, some say it ended up being a faulty cam chain tensioner causing some slack between the cams and triggering the code? I will do throttle body adaptation and get some actual readings tomorrow but its getting annoying. lucky i like audi's lol
