Default so heres what happened

i was driving last night and all of a sudden my clutch gets really stiff and i have to basically force it into gear then when i finally do get it into gear im not getting any traction at all any help would be appreciated its a 97 a4 1.8t

is that hard to fix? im still new to mechanic work on german cars and where would it be located?

Its under the car, basically where the trans and engine bolt together. Not the best video but here's what I found with a quick search...
