Default So... My car redlines on its own

Well I bought a K04-015 Turbo for my 97 a4 automatic and after my cousin intsalled it, he is a mechanic, it ran for about 2 miles to a gas station. On our way back from testing it out all of a sudden the car starting accelerating all on its own and continues to redline. I have no idea and he isnt to sure either. He is going to ask a few people he knows that works for volkswagen. But, i firgured it couldnt hurt to ask for your guys' input. All input is appreciated.

Thank you,
Ben.

First thing I would do is check if the throttle cable is stuck somehow.

There's a little white rubber piece that should be stuck on the end of the throttle cable where it connects to your intake manifold. It's probably dangling near the throttle body and hanging up... happened to me before.
