ok so i have the transmission out of my B6, i am in the process of doing a STG III clutch finally. the car has been sitting for a month or so because i have been away at work. I finally went out to the shop today to grab an ipod adapter from the car. and i noticed it did have a dead battery, i thought id throw the charger on it for a few hours. i just came out to check the charge, and i turned the key to accessory to check power and all that. (cant start,...obviously). and the tach just redlines...and sits right at 7. speedo is ok at 0 mph. fuel accurate. oCEL is on for a number of codes im sure, or just simply because the car isnt on . however the tach just sits redlined. if anyone has any ideas on what i need to do.
a sensor messed up?
batter charge?
fuses?

any ideas would help. i think that i have explained the situation pretty clear with all factors.

It could be caused by a lack of transmission. Try putting it back in and see if the problem goes away.
