if you have the 2.8 a new muffler would work but i dont know about the 1.8t. recently someone on here with the 1.8t had the magnaflow muffler installed and it didnt sound much different than stock. i guess that you would have to get a muffler and remove the resonator for it to be louder

This. I still haven't installed my 14816. Hopefully this Friday? I have a 2.8 also and I've watched youtube videos of that muffler and it sounds good!

Guys, PM me your email addresses. I'll send you a couple vids of my friend's 2.8 Passat doing 85 mph flybys. The vids give you the idea but in person it's much deeper and meaner-sounding. It's a killer tone.

So I know theres someone on here who put the magnaflow 14815 on his 1.8 but left the resonator and said it didnt sound too much different. Has anyone on here put on the 14815 and got rid of the resonator?
