Spammer on B5 thread
I understand advertising brings sales. When a page of entries gets up around 1/3 being ads for one seller it is highly annoying. At 1/2 of the space available I make a note in folder titled 98 a4 b5 Turbo Quattro. So cruising through the pages with 50 to 70 percent of space taken by same company/person and I do something about it. Today I'm doing 2 things
1) Will * and other wild cards work on forums and more importantly will NOT also work. If NOT works is there a mandated format for operator then the term(s)?
2) I'm posting this complaint that by page 12 same company eats half the space and by page 15 up to 3/4s of posts are ads for same over done seller. Thanks in advance for guidance covering available operators and if too nasty a task for moderators to handle I'd be glad to set up a batch process with date delimiters and open format for any/all forums this is occurring in.
Some or hopefully most of this could be due to resolved issues getting deleted throughout a forum when done. Should that be the case please let me know, thx. 25+ years as IT staff and/or consulting gigs has lowered my threshold for ads eating over half of space available. The sticky entries could use an ignore switch after maybe 3rd page but definitely by page 5. Otherwise than this 'nit' the forums are informative, at times humorous and backed up by a heck of a lot of talent in wrenching on quirky, and not so quirky, rides. Peace and done.
