From what I've heard, not remarkably. When I changed my plugs I just got single prong NGKs and they work fine.

No they are crap. You get a weaker spark with a multiple ground plug. The only good part about them is there is more than one ground to get fouled, so they don't get fouled as easily. So you get a weaker spark at the expense of longevity, basicaly.

Hi
I am a total noobie and this Audi is my first car. I did ask two car shops about this and one told me that as per catalogue I should use twin heads "I tend to trust this guy". The other shop told me that my car must use tripple pins.

So, from what I understood from them you can only use one kind of spark plug on my car. And one says dual pin and the other says tripple pin.

From what I understood from you guys, as long as the spark fits it should be fine and the tripple heads are worse then those with less pins apart from longevity.

In terms of car/engine power does it significantly present an effect how many pins there are on a spark plug ?

Thanks

You get a single overall stronger spark with a single pin/prong/ground plug, although you probably wouldn't notice a difference between a single or multiple pin plug while driving. I'm more sold on the theory of operation rather than wether or not i feel the difference in the seat of my pants. They come from the factory with a Bosch 4 pin plug, but NGK BKR6E (for 1.8T) is my preference.
