Spark plugs

Default Spark plugs

Question i just changed my spark plugs out and the was probably a couple inches of oil in the plug hole is that bad?

not bad but also not good - change your valve cover gaskets

A couple inches? I don't believe that. If it was leaking that bad you'd have hydrolocked by now, at least have plumes of smoke mistaken for Indian smoke signals behind your car. But yeah, change the gasket

i swear to god atleast an inch in a half to 2 inches lol...and yeah when i changed the plugs it was smokin like hell for the first 3-5 miles then it went away. So change my valve cover gasket your saying?

i think one of my coils are bad too... going to just replace all of them and there only $27.99 with lifetime warranty at the local auto parts... can't go wrong with that.. i thoght they would of been atleast $80 a piece, lucked out.

What year do you have? If it's an 01, fsi coils are plug and play. 00 or less and you could still consider them, although it be cost a bit more. Not to mention genuine fsi coils can be had for less than $20 a piece

its a 99 fwd 1.8T, idunno i called oreily auto parts and thru the shop i work at i get them a lil cheaper than regular customers do and i gave them all my info they told me $27 but im sure the valve cover might be a lil pricey.

He said there was oil in the spark plug tubes, not the cylinders.
