Default Squeaky Motor after RS4 Bumper?

Hey guys, i was just wondering (those who have the RS4 Reiger) if after washing your car you notice that your belts tent to squeek. i just washed my car and noticed a horrible squeek coming from the belts or pulley's, i was out all this weekend with the car and diddent notice a thing. It also seemed as if each belt or pulley had its own squeek, it wasnt like one chirp that u herd, it was more than one. Just asking around too see if i can sleep any better while i have to put the cover back on the car for the next 2 weeks with out a diagnosis.

Are you getting your belts wet when washing your car?

i don't think your belts are supposed to get wet after a wash. just spray the hell out of the pulleys with wd 40 and put some belt dressing on the belt and you should be good

sounds like a reasonable guess, you could definitely get your belts wet if you are spraying through the radiator

Please don't put belt dressing on it.... if the belt squeaks when wet replacing it should help it. Or make sure your tensioner is good and strong still. Belt dressing just makes a horrible mess of the engine bay and is not a permanent fix. If it doesn't squeak under any other conditions and goes away soon after it started I would live with it because it probably isn't a problem.
