Default Steering wheel groan

I've searched, but nothing quite matches what I'm experiencing. When turning either left or right, but only at relatively low speeds, I am hearing an annoying groan/squeal from my steering wheel. I am sure that the noise is coming from the wheel and not the rack/tie rods/U.J. on the column. Does anyone know if there is something in the clock ring or other component that can be lubricated or adjusted?

Thanks

No there isn't. Low power steering fluid or air in the system is causing it. Steering relies more on the pump system at low speeds. Something to do with the fluid is causing the noise.

Well the fluid level is correct and I presume it's a self bleeding system. It sure sounds like it's coming from right at the steering wheel itself, but I'll see what can be done about changing fluid and take it from there. Thanks for your help.

It doesn't self bleed. Jack the front up turn the wheel all the way one way and watch for bubbles, repeat the opposite way. Also use only pentosin fluid.

I'll give that a try first then.

Thanks
