Stock fog light wiring/conversion...
Does anybody know whether or not the wiring/connectors for the fog lights imbedded in the stock headlights can be used with the bumper style stock fog lights. I have a 1998.5 2.8Q 30 V that has fog lights in the headlight with a fog light button in the interior. I am trying to switch to the more common bumper style fog lights using the same connection from the headlight. (Also looking to fit them into a b5 s4 bumper...but thats not my main concern for now.) Has anyone done this?? Is it possible? Is it difficult? Any help would be great.
P.S. I already searched through the millions of pages on fog lights.

Look at the plug-in harnesses that connect to the headlight housings. The green/white wire is the one for the fogs. Use a wire-tap to connect to it, and run a wire down to the foglight. Ground the other fog connector somewhere inside the bumper and you're done.

No problem - just make sure that when you wire up the lower fogs, you use extra wire so you can change the bulbs easier. I used about 4' of wire from each harness to its respective foglight, since I didn't have harness connector plugs to use on the fog housings, and instead had to wire directly to the plug tines with blade-style wire connectors. With the four-foot long wires, I can remove the fog housings easily and then disconnect/reconnect the wires, instead of having to reach inside the grilled and do it blindly by touch.
