Default Stock Stereo Problem

So about 2 months my battery died and my radio went into SAFE mode.
I called our dealership but they updated their database and my information is no longer there. The 4 digit code is NOT in my booklet (person I bought it from didnt write it down).

Dealership wants $75 for the maintenance, pulling out the radio and getting the model #s and whatever else they need to get this thing out of safe mode. My father and I pulled the radio out ourselves and wrote down all the numbers - model number, serial number, etc...

Now that I have this info, whats my 4 digit code? Does ANYONE know how to do this without paying the $75?

Thanks a TON.

Nope, you will still need to pay them for it. It sucks!

They might not charge you the full $75. The dealer here is $50.

But what exactly are they doing?

Is there a stock password that MAY work?

your pretty much sol, pre 95 models are able to take the vin and get the code from it, 96 and up models have to be taken to the dealership where they remove the radio and connected to their machine that recovers the security code. your not paying for the code so much, but more for an hour of labor, and $75 is a rip my dealer only wants $50
