Default stupid question but w.e

ok i was looking into getting a boost gauge, but i cant find a pillar pod, i dont want to do the vent gauge mod, i actually use my vents lol, so i was wondering if a VW pillar pod is the same as one for my car? im about to order a gauge now but i just need a pod

Welcome back brrman!

Are you opposed to a steering mount pod?

The pillar mount is sort of dangerous since you most likely have an airbag inside it. There will be an "Airbag" badge on the pillar if you do.

i would think the steering colum pod would get in the way of that screen in the middle of my cluster, just from pictures that ive seen of them. and yea i think i have FS airbags.. hmm this sucks, i dont want to ruin a perfectly good vent and i cant to do a pillar pod

VW ones dont fit i dont think i was going to buy one from 32 draft design, i also heard that if the pillar is mounted low it doesnt affect the airbag but id find out first.

podi.ca sells the steering column gauge pods. they're made specifically for the b5 and are made to keep visibility to the rest of the gauge cluster.
