subframe, suspension problem?
so i dropped my car like 4 months ago, im not too sure if that has anything to do with this. but recently when i dump my clutch like normal the entire front suspension moves forward a little bit, and sometimes hits my fender liner or even bumper. my buddys dad said that looking at how it moves when standing outside the car he thinks it could be the subframe, subframe mounts or engine mounts. im thinking its not the engine mounts cuz that doesnt sound right. but maybe a bent subframe? ive also heard of vw guys getting something to hold their suspension in place after dropping. anyone had this problem? how much would a subframe run me @ dealership with employee discount?
you're whole front end moves forward and hits the fender? i'd stop driving the car and put it in the air to check it out. if it's bad enough you might be able to move the front end with your hands if you get a couple ppl on it. subframes usually don't go bad so i'd get a used one from a parts car.
Did you bottom out and crack your subframe? That is a large safety issue, stop driving the car. Hopefully, that's not the case.
Check the subframe bolts. During an alignment, to even out the camber, the subframe bolts are loosened so the subframe can be moved. Make sure they are tight. If they are loose, tighten them and then drive it back to the shop for an alignment.

definitely check the 4 subframe bolts to see if they are tight.
just got back from the alignment shop. turns out the suspension is just fine, but its the motor mounts. i have to drive like 10 miles to work tonight, should i drive it? im replacing them tomorrow.
