I had a leak in my S4 and it was the Aux pump under the Intake Manifold. It's a common place to have a leak if you haven't found it already. You should be able to look in there with a flash light and see dried up coolant. I'm sure Jeremy wouldn't mind swapping in a new one for you, it's not that bad of a job

 

I drove 160 miles on a punctured radiator.........suck it up!!!!

well at the time i was looking for another b5 and i drove all sorts and kinds years from 98-2001 and i was just not feeling like getting a trashed b5 all torn apart and start from scratch again since so many people do not take good care of there cars in NC so i stumbled apon this Gti and i bought it right on the spot timing belt brake water pump tires and everything maintained i just had to have the car also the fact it its a 2005 so its fairly new so i switched over to the vw side and i dont regret
