suspension
when i move the steering wheel left or right i don't have to move it much, it turns quickly but the suspension to me feels a little loose. what all can i do to stiffen it up some?
Another thing to look at are the sway bar end links. The stock ones are aluminum with soft rubber bushings. You can improve turn in response by going with end links made with spherical bearings (no slop). Many people have used the REAR sway bar end links from the Subaru WRX with good success. There is a writeup on Audizine about it.
jack it up, grab the tire at left and right (3 and 9 o'clock) and get a feel for the play in your old control arms. I was surprised at the play in mine and I just did a full front control arm replacement, the S4 upgrade from fcp.

I traced down a rear option a while ago i think some older toyota shares the same length and overall it looked like it would fit, but I think ill just make 2 custom adjustable end links in the summer.
S4 upgrade vs normal control arms. I don't think they even sell the 'standard' arms at FCP, and I couldn't really tell the difference as i was installing them. by the way, save your old nuts and bolts until you have completed the job and have driven it around (don't ask how I know). Also, the 2 bolts through the strut at the lower arm in my kit had a fine thread but no fine thread nuts were included, so I used the old ones.
