Default Suspension noise/ lower

I was thinking about lowering my car eventually anyways but car making like a squeak/groan noise over bumps. Should i just get coilovers and lower it now? Can i just get replacement oem control arms or should i get specific ones? Same for sway bars aftermarket for sure. Im thinking of doing this all in one bang and will start saving for it. Suggestions? Prices? Package deals/kits? Websites/links?

how many miles on the car? if you have some bad control arms bushings, or ball joints i would recommend getting a suspension kit from FCPgroton.com, for the price of 2 arms from VW you can get the whole kit from them, and if some have gone, the others are on the way. the s4 upgrade just means stronger tie rod ends.
As for the lowering, ecstuning.com sells kits, for static and coilovers i believe. even airbag kits lol.
As for sway bars, in the rear upgrade to an S4 bar, not adjustable but you will not need more than that. i dont have one personally but i have heard they make a big difference. someone else will have to chime in for the fronts, i know you can get adjustable ones, to make them stiffer but i dont know where to look

Racelands
ST coilovers
Vmaxx

For static setups. Use the search function "lowering springs" or something like that and there are struts and spring setups you can find.

If the noise seem to be your front your control arms. Don't wait on them. Get them done before anything else. FCPgroton seem to be the most popular one these days for the price.

Alright heres the breakdown... audi is known for bad control arms so you're gonna have to get a control arm kit form somwhere... but where?? i say ecs tuning... they sell some pretty legit stuff so i would definitely get a control arm kit there and as for lowering... get ST coilovers... ST's are pretty much the most used coilovers from everyone i know... im about to get some ST coilovers myself (my car is currently sitting on eibach springs). i hope that helps

these links below might say its for the 2.8 V6 but it works on the 1.8 also

Control Arm Kits:

Audi B5 A4 Quattro V6 12v > Suspension > Control Arms > ES#2130094 Complete Control Arm Kit - 4D0498102

ST Coilovers:

Audi B5 A4 Quattro V6 12v > Search > St Coilovers > ES#2129993 ST Performance Coilovers - 90603

Wow too pricey. Might as well get the Meyle control arm kits for that price. I bought my kit from ebay for like $230+ like 5yrs ago and I've had them on for about 100,000km now. The FCPgroton has also grown a pretty good reputation with their control arms.

Don't forget V6's are heavier than the 1.8T, so the coilovers have to be spec for the engine type.

Pretty much Fisheye led you to a good website. A few things are a bit pricey for my liking. I just use the website as a catalogue when searching for parts.

Apologies...I never even checked fcpgroton website on the control arms until now. I swear they used to be like mid $200 - $300 price range. Now they sell meyles???? WTF!

I got the meyle control arm kit from fcpgroton, installed them and they are very good so far and they were way cheaper than esctuning.

Everything on esctuning is more expensive than any other site.

I suggest, everyone stay away from that site or at least looks at other sites, first before buying from esctuning.

While you're in there replacing the control arms, also apply some grease to the sway bar bushings. I did a complete control arm replacement, but the squeak/groan noise didn't go away fully until I greased those bushings.
