there is a noise coming from the passenger wheel, every bump in the road the wheel knocks hard sounding like its the shocks going out i have h&r springs and shocks but they where installed by the previous owner. I don't know much about suspension and any information would be awesome. Also it feels like there is a wheel wobble on hard bumps and hard turns like its coming from the suspension nothing real bad but i want to take care of it before **** hits the fan.

 

try going over a bumper with the brakes slightly on. it might be the inner pad that's loose. it happened to me and it sounds a lot like your symptoms. if you feel the same knock sound it could be a bad lower CA. it's not the upper CAs because they'll would squeak rather than thump. also jack up that side and see if you can wiggle the wheel, it should move slightly up and down due to the slack of the steering rack and it'll move more left and right. i get this thump noise in the front end when i got over a pothole, i can't seem to figure out the problem because i've replaced everything but the shocks but i checked everything including the shocks and everything is fine lol. i even changed all the the CAs and TREs but still get that sound so i just turn the music up lol

 

yea word on turning the music up lol idk im still messing with it sucks though just another sound that bothers me lol

 

I just replaced the front shocks on my 90cs - now it "knocks" when you bounce the car - seems like it's coming from lower tie rod? I need a fix fast I am racing this car this weekend

 

Just thought that i would chime in and say that this was happening on my 1.8t A4. It turned out that it was one of the control arms... its usually the rubber bushings that go bad and start knocking like crazy. If you have to replace more than one of them it is worth buying a whole set because they are all going to go bad usually soon after the first one goes. At least thats what went down with mine
