Default sway bar help please..

so im desperately trying to upgrade my rear sway bar and i have seen one for 40.00 w/o the uplinks and bushings and one on ebay with the uplinks and bushings probably going for more. SO the question is do i need or want these or should i get just the sway bar with the mounting brakets w/o the uplinks and bushings?

Depends on what condition your uplinks/bushings are in...
Are they loose/sloppy? If so, then yes, replace them.
Also, are your stock uplinks interchangeable with the new sway bar, or does it require upgraded links?

do you have a link to what your talking about? i havnt come across a decent rear sway bar for under $150 and thats just a crappy addco bar. $40? sounds about how much a junkyard would charge for a used stock rear sway bar.

Don't bother upgrading the rear unless you're going to do it right. In order to get the most from a larger rear bar, you'll have to stick with something like the Hotkis H-Sport with the mounting braces. The stock mounts are way too small and weak to handle a larger bar.

Additionally, if you don't upgrade the rear endlinks with a larger bar, you'll snap those cheesy plastic endlinks in no time and stab a CV boot. PureMS sells the upgraded links. Do it right or don't do it at all.

Default worthy?

I have a non-sport
Would this be worth even getting in the slightest? or go bigger?

An S4 stock bar still works off the dinky rear mounts and plastic endlinks. You're still better off with a full kit like Neuspeed or Hotchkis. I know it's more expensive, but why waste cash?

No problem. Just to let you know, the Hotchkis H-Sport setup kicks butt. It's definitely worth the cash.
