I just got pulled over for having a tail light out. How would I go about changing this and what is the correct bulb size. It is an 01.

 

Pop the plastic retainers off the trunk carpet behind the taillights. The plastic gray piece on the back of the taillight is the bulb tree. It snaps off of the taillight and holds all the bulbs. Take out the bad one and take it to the parts store for a new one.

 

Yeah and if you look on the back of that plastic bulb holder the model of bulb that goes in each socket is stamped into the plastic.

 

i would also recommend not touching the bulbs with your fingers as that might cause fogging inside of your lights
