New to Forums. My 01' B5 Avant passenger tail light will not work. I have replaced bulb (Two filament for Break/ Tail) replaced bulb holder(NEW), checked fuses. Basically as soon as I turn on headlights I get the warning light on the dash indicating the tail light is not working. Driver side okay. Anyone have any idea what I am missing. Is it the double fuse? Break light works tail light does not.

 

Either that socket isn't getting ground, or positive. Put a tester in the socket. If it's not getting ground, there is plenty of good ground nearby since the brakelight on that side works. If it's not getting positive, just run a wire over to the tailight on the other side.
