i think it sounds good.

right now i have no resonator, its Cat -> Downpipe -> 2.25" straight to Magnaflow muffler.

low end its deep and quiet, up high it sounds awesome.
CCA4, HiWords, NickBroderick, anyone else that was at the recent meet, you all heard it. it doesnt sound like a honda. my car used to be the same setup but to the stock muffler, and it made 0 difference inside. outside it sounded a little more euro, but you gotta love the sound on dual 3" tips

 

yea that sounds like a great setup aswell jc, and aledelic keep it like that if i could get to that sound it would be SICK.

 

all mine is is the stock cat to stock 2.25" piping to the magnaflow 10415 mid muffler (~$60 new) and a y pipe to two turn down tips in the back. so it shouldn't be hard to get yours to sound the same

 

New member here, but wanted to post since there are so few sound clips of the belovedly slow but faithful 2.8L 12V. Stock piping, but using the Magnaflow 14862 with long resonator delete.

I am going to cut the short resonator out before I take it out AutoXing again Sept 18th in Camarillo CA just for ***** and giggles. I do want to get rid of the drone...no proper ladies will enjoy the drone, and my music enjoyment, even with the poor stock system, has declined more than I would like to admit. I will take another vid with both resonators out. If the car still has too much drone, should I go with a glasspack or another 1 or 2 resonators? I tossed my stocker res. stupidly...oh well. No more mods for me though. That will be saved for a dedicated track car.

This has been my first car purchase, but am looking forward to selling this for a pre '74 Triumph TR6, <'74 Opel GT or <'74 Datsun 240z with 350 small block. Something that has already become, or will become more collectible than these god-forsaken modern cars. So far I do enjoy it as a DD, I just needed to pick something up right after my clunker '92 Ford Crown Vic was sold to CA for $1K..:-D I will say, the interior of Audi cars just blows everything else out of the water if its a sub $80 car IMO.

My car didn't have a resonator when I bought it, but it had a crappy ("Neutron") muffler that was really loud and higher pitched. This Magnaflow is MUCH better, although it's probably still too loud for most people's tastes.
