Does anyone know how to tap into the integrated speakerphone mic on the left pillar? I'd like to tap into it for my iPhone. Anyone feel adventurous?

 

Wait, that thing is a MIC?!?!?! HAHAHAH wow i have been trying to figure out what that thing is for ages... i was thinking it was some kinda mic but wasent sure lmao jesus i find out new things about these cars everyday...

sorry i couldnt be more useful but uhhh im sure you can do it just have to do some rewiring it which shouldnt be a problem if you know how to do it unless theres a easier way...

 

Yeah I bet if you just pull that pillar cover off there will be a few wires and such. Not sure where you will plug it into your phone at. Oh actually do you have a hands free headset or something that you could take apart and splice the wires into?

i thought the mic was in the middle by the sunroof controls? maybe they changed it on the 01.5?

not sure how to tap the mic, but i always have wondered myself. the 97 b5 has it on the pillar. any luck figuring that out yet?
