Default Test Pipe = Limp Mode ( MAF Sensor question too)

I just installed an ECS tuning test pipe and took my gate for a spin but there was barely any boost. EPC light is on meaning its in Limp mode(?) Is there any way of fixing this issue? I've read about the mod for the rear O2 sensor for no cell light. But I really wanna get it out of limp mode. Also if anyone knows the part number or where I can get the connector for the MAF sensor. The one I had is broken due to heat and needs replacement. 2001 A4 1.8TQ. Manual.

The Audi dealer sells the clip that connects to the MAFS for like $10. Just describe the part to them, should be easy enough to get another. I am also replacing te same part within the next couple days, my local Audi specialty shop had it. Best of luck, let me know how it goes.

the test pipe shouldn't put you into limp mode it should just cause the check engine light to turn on, but the MAF will put you into limp. the test pipe should just give you a converter efficiency code.

^This. As for the secondary O2 sensor, there's a couple of options. RAI sells a jetted J-pipe that screws into the O2 sensor bung. You can buy that here. Another option is a similar spacer from 034 motorsport. You can get that one here. I know for a fact that both of those work. Third option is to go with spark plug anti-foulers which you can get at any auto part store. There are "long" and "short" versions, so you'll have to figure out which length or combination of lengths works for you.

Thanks for all the replies. Ill have to get and change the MAF connector cause right now its basically just wires, no plastic protection. Hopefully that solves the problem, I'm also going with the anti-fouler mod, seems easy enough. Thanks again guys will give an update when i replace the MAF Connector.

Make sure you use anti-seize between the test pipe and the spacer(s) and also between the spacers and the O2 sensor to keep them from welding themselves together.

Can someone upload a pic of the MAF connector? I need to see which cables go where, the car has been sitting for so long I forgot what order the cables go. Its a AWM motor and D-shaped connector 5 pin(but only 4 cables)
