test pipe

Default test pipe

would a b6 1.8t test pipe bolt right up to a b5 1.8t?

I looked on atp's website and they are two different part numbers. I think anything is possible with a little modding, but its up to you if you want to take your chances. So to answer your question, it looks like a no...that it probably isnt a direct fit. But that's based solely on the fact that they are two different part numbers...maybe someone else can correct me if I'm wrong.

well, when i ordered my test pipe, i got it from VMR.. i bought it from their ebay store, and its the test pipe 2.5" and has the heat sheild... it said online that it was for both b5/b6 generation cars.. HOWEVER.. when i went to install it, as i got it seated to the turbo flange and ready to bolt up, it was hitting on the bell housing of the transmission.. so i had to take a little hammer and do some custom heat shield modifiying if you will, to get it to fit perfectly without hitting.. but it did say on their site that it was meant for the b5 and b6 a4's.. so i suppose it depends on the brand?

i think the b6 has a 4 bolt flange to the downpipe. im not sure while the b5 has a 3.

The ER test pipe is listed for both the B5 and B6 1.8t.
