Its three nuts to the turbo exhaust housing and three to the downpipe. There are a few write ups online. Its pretty straight forward, but there is one nut thats kinda underneath the exhaust manifold. It gave me a struggle, but I beat it. Just takes some patience.

Great. I checked out labree's website and their high flow cat is cheaper than the regular cat. I'm going to call them today and order it. Thanks for the help and I'll let you know how it goes when I install it.

it is'nt too bad. i would suggest to remove your intake box just to give you some more room, jack up the p/s front of the car there are 3 bolts that hold that cat on each side ( might want to wait till your car has cooled off =])
i believe the bolts are 13mm but dont hold me to that. you can get the o2 sensor speciality tool from autozone or just use an open end wrench and it will be time consuming. then reverse the process and you shall be done.

any questions??

p.s. make sure you replace the harware and gaskets

exhaust hardware likes to rust and gaskets are a given.

Oh ya i have done exhaust work before but the guy at the repair shop made it sound like heart surgery. I called Labree today and unfortunately they cant take my order till Monday. But i told the guy exactly what i wanted and he said i will get about a 30-40 hp gain with their high flow cat. And like i said its still cheaper than the oem one. The guy i talked to was very friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks for the reference. I should have my cat by next weekend since they wont be able to get it out till next week. But for what i'm getting and at the price i'm getting it for its worth the wait!

Time and money are always the issue. With me at least.

the 30-40 HP gain may be a bit stretch of the truth, but it will be a gain. The HFC is definitely the way to go if you need to pass emissions, but you've already decided on that.

When I did my test pipe, I found it was easiest to actually disconnect the down pipe from the rest of the exhaust pipe and pull the whole thing out. It takes a little twisting and stuff, but patience pays off. It was a lot easier than fighting with the three bolts from the cat to the DP. I have an aftermarket exhaust though, so it may unbolt after the downpipe different from stock... I can't remember.

Also depending on where your doing this and how much room you have under the car, you might want to unplug the sensors at the harness end and take them out when the pipe is out of the car. You can install them into the new cat the same way. O2s are usually pretty stuck in the bungs.

Both above posts are very correct. And the 30-40 horsepower gain is total crap lol. Maybe 10-15 at the crank, but the more boost you run the more you gain.

Ya i figured as much. I knew it would be a little bit of a gain but i have yet to find a bolt on product for under $300 that will give you 30-40 more hp.
