Thermostat going out?
rvalternative - I'd guess its the thermostat, but both of those prices are incorrect! www.ecstuning.com. If you have access to tools and are even a little mechanically inclined, a little research spent finding a DIY and a saturday afternoon under the hood will save you a whole lot of cash!
People with AEB motors - our thermostat is pretty easy to get to as well. Drain the coolant, jack up the car or ramps, unhook the lower radiator hose (undo metal clip and pull) and trace it up to the motor. There's a small housing with two 10mm bolts fastening it. Unhook those, be prepared to catch a little more coolant with a bucket, and take note of the thermostat's position. Remove T-stat and rubber o-ring and replace with new ones. Lots of people get a new thermostat housing as well. Bolt it all back together, reconnect the hose, tighten it all up, fill her up, burp the system and check for leaks. Then go for a nice drive!

Sweet thx! a lot, I'm not much mechanically inclined.. but i'll try to fix mine this summer XD..
Did you find a DIY with pictures about this??
This is for the timing belt, but has a section covering the replacement of thermostat.

You're looking at an hour, maybe two.
