New to the forum, and if all goes well a regular.

Was looking at a 98 A4 with 121000 miles, the price is right, what issues should I be looking for with a Audi with this many miles.

How much are they asking for it? The main issues I would be concerned with have to deal with services being completed correctly and on time. These cars are amazing machines, but you HAVE TO take care of them because not doing so will bite you in the ***. Check out The newbie guide for info on mods or general questions. I would check to make sure that the 100k service was done at a minimum and see if you can gather any other service records. Timing belt and waterpump are 2 very important things that need replacing and should have been if the services were done. Don't let all that deter you either, alot of those things can be done in your garage or in one of our garages, just ask around. Have fun with your new Audi and welcome.

 

Thanks for the quick response to my post and the info. Have spent the last several years looking after a Volvo and have done all the major jobs on it, Water pump timing belt shocks etc, so not to concerned about it. Is there a online parts distibutor for Audi that you guys here use. Once agian thanks for the quick responce.

 

i just bought a 98 a4 quattro pearl white.
with 85k on it for 5k$
If its over that much money don't buy it.

New here also, but would like to get to know some of you. I bought my son a A4 when he graduated from school. I love driving it so much, that now I am thinking about buying myself one. Just not sure if I should go with a A4 or look at the A6. Any opinions?
