I have been running 8000k HID's in my car for over 2 years. I have had no problems. I have aftermarket projector headlight though. I first ran them in the stock headlight bezels first. Had no issues with those either.

See, thats the same thing ImTheDevil told me when I was inquiring about running them in non projector housings. He said he ran them just fine before he could afford the projectors and as cmacelo said, if they're aimed right, there shouldn't be much issue. The only reason I'm still HID-less is because I do want the projectors eventually and the particular ones I want come with the HID setup so its pointless to me to buy a HID kit, and then in a few months, buy the projectors and get yet another HID kit, waste of money IMO. But yea, thats my $0.02

IIRC it was aledelic that linked me to them, they're two piece Helix ecodes specifically made for the pre-facelift models, so that you don't have to trim the fenders to make the one piece ones fit. The particular ones I'm looking at are blacked out already, and come with the HID bulbs of your temp preference, for a really good price (250+60 for shipping) but I have other things I need to take care of right now before I consider dropping that much cash on a *minor* visual upgrade. Having sweet headlights isn't going to do me any good if I have a snapped timing belt haha

I dunno if I've linked anyone to 2 piece depos. I always tell people converting to one piece is definitely worth it. one piece just looks a lot cleaner I think. both one and two piece depos chrome/black/halo should be able to be found on ebay and I think most of them can have hid's included for like $60 more..
